A native Oklahoman, Mary Jane Porter earned her Masters from the University of Tulsa and has since established herself in Tulsa as a well respected artist and art instructor. Her work has received awards in numerous exhibitions and she is currently represented in several Oklahoma and Arkansas galleries. She teaches at the college level and participates in other arts and education programs in Tulsa, including the Arts and Humanities Council and the Tulsa Artists' Coalition. She works from her studio and gives classes.
